Louis "King Louie" Pain, dubbed “Portland’s boss of the B-3” by The Oregonian, is a musician’s musician. When called upon, Louis is a dynamic soloist, but he specializes in the subtle art of making the musicians and vocalists he works with sound their best.  For him, the song’s the thing, not showing off.  That’s why he’s always in demand with his peers, and why he is an Oregon Music Hall of Fame inductee.

Pete Krebs Duo is at Vino Veritas

Pete Krebs has been a member of the Portland, Oregon musical community since 1988. His bands Hazel, Golden Delicious, The Stolen Sweets, The Portland Playboys and The Catnip Brothers have explored genres as diverse as punk rock, gypsy jazz, western swing and vintage jazz, traditional folk and country. His discography contains dozens of releases on a variety of labels including Cavity Search, Rough Trade and Sub Pop.

Trio Subtonic returns to the lounge, joined by the incredible guitarist Dan Balmer! Trio Subtonic is one of our favorites groups, and Dan is one of our favorite guitarists. When combined, they are one of the most powerful bands that plays our lounge. Balmer's swirling guitar pyrotechnics, Galen Clark's colorful organ work, and powerful rhythm provided by bassist Bill Athens and drummer Micah Hummel. A transformative coalescence of rock, soul, funk, blues and jazz that simultaneously draws in listeners and pushes boundaries.

From his first days in Marshall, Missouri, the music of Bob James has captivated audiences throughout the world.  Discovered by Quincy Jones at the Notre Dame Jazz Festival in 1963, James recorded his first solo album, Bold Conceptions, that same year for Mercury Records. More than 60 albums and innumerable awards would follow through the nearly six decades.
