The Grindel/Carrigg/Jakes/Cohen Quartet is a local group who debuted at The Jazz Station in October 2017. Since then, they have continued to develop their repertoire and rapport as a band and are excited to present two more great sets of music to listeners in Eugene. 

This Quartet primarily improvises - creating music in the moment. They also perform original compositions and offer fresh takes on pieces by their favorite composers. 

Their music is spontaneous and deliberate, funny and serious, melodic and atonal, swinging and raucous. Come join them for a night that celebrates one of jazz's tenets: improvisation.
