Justin Copeland is a trumpet player, pianist, composer and music educator based out of the Central Valley city of Fresno, California. As a professional, he has performed all over the United States and abroad, and after almost 10 years living and working in the Chicago area, currently resides in Portland, Oregon. In addition to leading his own projects, Justin has shared the bandstand with many world-renowned artists including Victor Goines, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Branford Marsalis, Solange Knowles, and The Temptations. In addition to performing, Justin is quite active as an educator. He served as a teacher in the Beaverton Public Schools between 2018-2020, was an adjunct professor of trumpet at George Fox University from 2019-2023, and is currently the adjunct professor of jazz trumpet at Portland State University.
