“Pianist Kerry Politzer leads Bossa PDX, Portland's classic bossa nova and Brazilian jazz band. The group plays a selection of both obscure and well-known compositions by Jobim, Edu Lobo, Chico Buarque, Jorge Ben, João Donato, Toninho Horta, Hermeto Pascoal, and many others. In 2019 Kerry released "Diagonal," an album honoring the late Rio-born guitarist/composer Durval Ferreira.”
