Vocalist Calvin Orlando Smith made his Broadway debut at the Lunt-Fontanne Theater as Cecco in Peter Pan starring Cathy Rigby. After Peter Pan received two Tony Award nominations for Best Actress (Cathy Rigby) and Best Revival, Calvin returned to Broadway's Minskoff Theater to complete the run, around the nation and internationally with the hit musical.
Other credits include: Colonel in the Broadway international tour of Evita starring Valerie Perri and John Herrera, Steward in the national tour of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes starring Morgan Fairchild, Debbie Shapiro & John O'Hurley, My Fair Lady starring Victoria Mallory, The Venticello in The Alliance Theater's Amadeus, Oliver Hix in Theater of The Stars' productions of Music Man with John Davidson & Christine Andreas, Big Moe in Five Guys Named Moe, 'Horse' in The Full Monty, The Purple Snail in the world premiere of Pinocchio, J.P. Williamson in the world premiere of Duke Ellington's Saturday's Laughter at the Fox Theater; The Today Show with Jane Pauley, R.E.M.'s video 'The Finest Work Song' directed by Michael Stipe, The Disney Channel's "Coming On" directed by Ian Bernard, and The United Cerebral Palsy Telethon starring Dennis James, Ben Vereen and Florence Henderson at The Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City. Recently, Theater of The Stars' tour of My Fair Lady starring Marla Schaffel, direct from Broadway's Jane Eyre.
Calvin holds a Master of Philosophy Degree in History of Art & Architecture from Hughes Hall, Cambridge University and a graduate of the University of Georgia, he completed his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History of Art at Keble College, Oxford University, England. Calvin recently sung back up for Garth Brooks, during his stadium tour and made his Carnegie Hall Debut in Brahms Requiem . In 2023, Calvin celebrates his 30th Anniversary as a member of The Actor's Equity Association.
