Anna Tivel (trio) is a cross-genre collaboration grounded in the masterful poetry of Tivel’s songwriting and the soundscapes of her singular voice and acoustic guitar. Recently featured on NPR’s Tiny Desk series, the trio features Micah Hummel on drums and Galen Clark on keyboards. Drawn to the quiet stories of everyday life, Anna Tivel guides her work with a clear eyed empathy. The characters and imagery that populate her songs walk the fragile divide between hope and despair, a reflection of harsh waking realities and the kaleidoscopic nature of dreams. Anna has been praised by Rolling Stone, NPR, Pitchfork, and others for her keen observation of the human condition.
