Benny Green plays the Jazz Station - Eugene
Two Shows - 7:00p and 9:00p
We're excited to be celebrating International Jazz Day on Saturday, April 29th with world-renowned pianist, Benny Green.
One of Jazz's "Who's Who", Benny has been compared to greats, Bud Powell and Oscar Peterson, both of whom he counts as major influences. Green joined vocalist Betty Carter's band in 1983 before signing up with Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers in the late eighties. Since 1993, he has lead his own trio producing over 20 recordings to date. With performances world-wide, Benny has shared billing with the biggest names in jazz - Oscar Peterson, Ray Brown, Terence Blanchard, Christian McBride, Peter Washington, Freddie Hubbard, Etta Jones, Diana Krall, and Milt Jackson (to name but a few).
