University of Oregon Jazz Combos featuring Randy Porter play the Jazz Station - Eugene

University of Oregon’s renowned program in jazz studies is one of the most exciting new jazz programs in the country, and boasts outstanding performing ensembles including multiple student combos. Tonight, the top small combos will perform short sets of music selected by the members, and practiced with the help of jazz faculty and grad students. There will be tons of musical variety, some original music, and comradery as the students support each other in this very open format.

Tonight's special guest artist is Randy Porter. He's a top pianist out of Portland who is also a long-time jazz educator. He'll be joining the top combos as they work their way through some great jazz standards.
