Produced by Miles Davis Properties LLC, Miles Electric Band is up to an eleven-member, all-star live set featuring Miles Davis alumni revisiting repertoire from Davis’ electric period, which many consider captures Miles at his iconoclastic best. The band’s performance history includes sellouts at the Hollywood Bowl, SF Jazz Center, as well as recent tours of Canada, Japan, and Australia with standing ovations throughout – the live show also incorporates visual images/artwork from the estate archive. The progressive, avant-garde, experimental collective, known for revising the framework for modern jazz innovation, pays homage to ‘The Chief’ (drawing from In A Silent Way, Jack Johnson, Bitches Brew, more), while also incorporating their own artistic vision and experiences.

Miles Electric Band represents two generations of Miles Davis players; his contemporaries and the next generation. The group is led by GRAMMY® winning drummer, a former bandmate, and nephew of the late jazz icon Vincent Wilburn, Jr.
Principle members include five-time GRAMMY® nominee John Beasley and Robert Irving III on piano; GRAMMY® nominee Badal Roy on tabla; legendary P-funk guitarist Blackbyrd McKnight; acclaimed percussionists Munyungo Jackson and Mino Cinelu; saxophonist Antoine Roney (Lenny Kravitz), Rolling Stones bassist Darryl Jones and turntablist DJ Logic. Rotating members include renowned programmer/re-mixer Jeremy Ellis, widely known for his work with The Roots; Prince collaborator MonoNeon; percussionist Abbos Kosimov; Debasish Chaudhuri on tabla and additional keyboardist Greg Spero. Trumpeters include Christian Scott, Sean Jones, Wallace Roney and Etienne Charles.
