Zsofia Tardy's Hunglish Project presents A Tribute to Horace Silver
Christo's is welcoming back Hungarian-born singer, composer, music educator Zsofia Tardy! Zsofia chose Portland as her new home in 2015. Since her arrival she taught at the Western Oregon University; and on behalf of WOU two times in Nanning, China. Currently, she is the Instructor of Jazz Voice at Lewis & Clark College. Audiences and fellow musicians alike call her a “force of nature”, especially praising her scatting, resembling it to the greatest singers. With this tribute concert she expresses her admiration toward her favorite hard-bop composer, Horace Silver, whose dynamic compositions resonate with her energetic singing style.
