Todd Marston’s Integer Quintet performs at the 1905
Three Shows - 6:30p, 8:30p and 10:00p
Integer Quintet brings the listener on an exciting ride through a variety of grooves, with an intense focus on melodic narrative. With Justin Copeland on trumpet and Chris Shuttleworth on trombone, this ensemble has a powerful brass-centered sound that highlights Todd Marston’s melodic compositional voice. Andrew Jones (acoustic bass) and Micah Hummel (drums) offer a solid and virtuosic rhythm section that acts as a rugged off-road vehicle, carrying the ensemble through complex improvisational territory. Overall, Integer Quintet’s focus on melody and groove makes their performance highly palatable to discerning audiences as well as first-time jazz listeners. Tonight, the band will celebrate the release of their self-produced album, “Integer Quintet”.
