Rhythms of the Night: A Fusion of Brazilian Music, Bossa Nova, Contemporary Jazz, Jazz Standards, & Neo-Soul. Vocalist Tamara Brown’s musical odyssey spans an eclectic mix of genres, from the rhythmic pulses of Brazilian music to the improvisational allure of jazz and the soulful depths of neo-soul. Born in Memphis, TN into a family where music was a constant companion, Tamara’s early years were marked by an innate ability to play the piano by ear, despite having no formal training. Tamara’s musical path took her from the piano to the saxophone, where she immersed herself in the bebop style of Charlie "Bird" Parker. This phase of her life deepened her appreciation for black american music (also called jazz) yet her journey didn’t stop there. Her evolving passion for vocal performance led her to explore and embrace the profound emotional connection that singing can offer. For Tamara, music is more than a career; it is a unifying force that bridges gaps and connects people across diverse backgrounds. Her performances are a testament to her belief that music has the power to bring everyone together, creating a shared experience that transcends boundaries and speaks to the soul.
