This year's holiday program is a fund raising event for Fly me to the Moon, a non-profit program dedicated to sharing music across the generations.
Every year around Christmas, Music Mondays presents a Holiday Showcase. On Monday Dec 17th they are bringing back some of their favorites for “Sugar & Spice, A Holiday Treat.” featuring LaRhonda Steele and Julie Amici backed by an All-Star band consisting of Dean Mueller, Dave Fleschner, and Carlton Jackson. The accolades and awards garnered by this cast puts this show among the most beloved in the Northwest, and a sure sell-out. They will be showcasing various styles of Jazz, Blues, R&B, Soul, and a touch of Christmas.
A portion of the proceeds for this event will be donated to the Fly Me To The Moon program, a project associated with the Oregon Music Hall of Fame. It's mission is to bring profession music to to retirement communities, assisted living centers, and memory care facilities around Oregon.
