Christmas 1960, the composing duo of Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn managed something truly extraordinary: the successful reimagining of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker Suite. The work is now considered a jazz masterpiece appealing to fans of jazz, classical, and holiday music. The Jazz Station is proud to place its own stamp on the holiday season with the complete performance of this jazz classic as well as other toe-tapping numbers in its production, The Nutcracker Suite and other Holiday Treats.
