New Perspectives Trio plays at the Jazz Station - Eugene

Aidan McKeon was brought up in the Philly music scene, playing as a sideman and a leader for many years before landing in NY, playing with such musicians as Kurt Rosenwinkel, Alex Claffy, Joe Farnsworth, Anwar Marshall, Larry McKenna, Victor North, Noah Halpern, and more and has been brought on to be in Rosenwinkel’s band for a week at the Village Vanguard and festivals this June.

John Murray, a jazz bassist raised in San Diego, California, has shared the stage with Jeff Hamilton, Joel Frahm, Roy McCurdy, Matt Wilson, and Christopher Hollyday, among other jazz greats. Together with Joshua White, Tyler Krutel, and Christopher Hollyday, he appears on Gilbert Castellano's latest album, "Esperame en el Cielo," which is ‘sterling, top-notch music by some of the best players on the globe’ - The San Diego Troubadour.

Vinton Hines Jr., an 18-year-old jazz drummer and percussionist, began playing the drums at the age of 4 and received his musical education through the church until his formal introduction to jazz. He has performed with musical giants Dr. Lonnie Smith, Peter Washington, Bennie Wallace, Aaron Goldberg, Regina Carter, Anthony Wilson, Emmet Cohen, Terrell Stafford, Steve Davis, and many others.
