Ryan Meagher is a Portland-based jazz guitarist, composer and educator. Jazz Journal called him, “the most interesting new guitarist on the scene since Pat Metheny.” JazzTimes remarked that his music was, “startlingly original stuff.” DownBeat noted that, “there’s a strong element of folksong in Meagher’s compositions, expressed by his singing melodies and commitment to the gravity and beauty of a balanced lyrical arc.”

Sarah Clarke 1:15p - 2:40p

Sarah Clarke is a songwriter and vocalist, born and raised in Portland. Known for her power, range and dynamic performances, Sarah exudes a subtle mastery of her craft that leaves her audiences craving more. She gained widespread recognition touring North America with her band Dirty Revival and continues to wow audiences with the funk unit Outer Orbit. Additionally, she can be seen performing regularly with the Bay Area-based soul, psych-rock band Con Brio.

He’s assembled and performed with an expansive range of groups, from duos to jazz big bands, military marching bands and orchestras. His musical and personal experiences have led him to an interest in synthesizing the principles of jazz with the day-to-day practicalities of life.

Chris Potter Quartet - 7:15p - 8:40p

Grammy Award nominated saxophonist Chris Potter is a world-class soloist, accomplished composer and formidable bandleader. His music showcases a vibrant sense of swing, prompting critics, musicians and fans alike to cite him as one of the finest saxophonists today. The New Yorker calls Potter, “a tenorist who can remind you of Joe Henderson at his craftiest.” With his 2019 album “Circuits,” Potter returned to groove, echoing music from his underground era. His new music blends a vibrant soundscape of electronics, melodies with unforgettable hooks and surprising turns of phrase, all played with relentless energy.
