Venezuelan Jazz Collective’ is an innovative jazz ensemble that comprises an outstanding cast of world-class musicians based in the US. The collective will perform Fran Vielma’s new suite - Common Grounds that weaves together Venezuelan music with rhythms from other countries in South America and the Caribbean commissioned by Chamber Music America. The program also includes a small tribute to the Venezuelan songbook, and compositions from their debut album Tendencias, which was included in the “Best of 2018” lists by NYC Jazz Record, Downbeat, Latin Jazz Network, and Ladosis Magazine.
