Portland’s own Austin Ford and Summer Camargo of the Saturday Night Live band bring their NYC Trumpet show to The 1905 stage. Direct from NYC's vibrant music scene, together, Ford and Camargo create a jazz experience that's both exhilarating and entertaining. Expect a night of high-energy solos, intricate duets, and unforgettable improvisations as these two exceptional talents showcase their remarkable chemistry and exceptional skills. Austin Ford is a Jazz trumpet player from Portland, Oregon currently based in New York City. Austin Graduated from the University of North Texas in 2021 and was a member of their Grammy-nominated One O’Clock Lab Band. He has had the opportunity to perform with world-renowned artists such as Maria Schneider, Gary Smulyan, Regina Carter, Tom Harrell, and Jason “JT” Thomas of Snarky Puppy. In Texas, Austin recorded his debut album “Launchpad”. It is available on all streaming platforms. Austin now holds a master’s degree from the Manhattan School of Music where he studied under the tutelage of Ingrid Jensen, Jon Faddis, and Scott Wendholt. He regularly performs around the city at various venues such as Jazz at Lincoln Center, Birdland, and others. Summer Camargo, 23, is a native of Hollywood, Florida. She is a Jerome Green Fellowship recipient at the Juilliard School, where she recently received her Bachelor's Degree in 2023 and Masters Degree in 2024, majoring in Jazz Studies with trumpet as her instrument. Summer regularly performs at notable NYC jazz clubs like Dizzy’s, Birdland, and with the Mingus Big Band, and in 2022, she became the newest member of the Saturday Night Live House Band.
