The Eugene Hard Bop Collective (EHBC) came together in 2013 to play their favorite jazz from the 1950s-60s. Much of their material comes from Hard Bop, but you will hear music from other genres - contemporary jazz, cool jazz, and jazzy versions of popular and folk songs. They play from a huge book of compositions by Benny Golson, Cannonball Adderley, Charlie Parker, Clark Terry, Frank Foster, Hank Mobley, Horace Silver, Jimmy Heath, Joe Zawinul, João Donato, Kenny Barron, Kenny Dorham, Lee Morgan, Miles Davis, Nat Adderley, Pat Martino, Pat Metheny, Ray Brown, Steve Allen, Tadd Dameron, Thelonious Monk, Tina Brooks, Wayne Shorter, the Beatles, and many others, including original compositions from band members.
