Jazz duo Charlene & Her Champagne Bruts featuring vocalist Charlene Hansen and bassist Marty Main bring you an evening of jazz and American Standards showcasing the multi-facets of love.  From the hopefulness of “Let’s Fall in Love” to the wistfulness of “End of a Love Affair” this evening will honor love it all its forms.  "Charlene’s voice has been described as a beckoning invitation.  Rich and sultry, this is a voice that is not naïve in ways of love, but certainly not jaded.  There is an earnestness and a welcoming quality to Charlene’s approach, bringing a longing for sweetness of companionship.  Bringing a past of 20’s jazz and big band, along with other genres, Marty’s approach to the bass allows for a focus on the heart and core of each song, with rich warm tones that complement the vocals. The music?  It starts with songs from greats like Peggy Lee that Charlene’s mother loved and would sing with her child throughout the house and throughout the day.  Some, perhaps not the most appropriate songs for a 5-year-old to sing. This early music education set the stage for a lifelong study of passion for music.
