Tony's Jíbaro Jazz Project plays at the Jazz Station
A unique blend of traditional jazz standards, boleros, and other popular tunes from Latin America in a Jazz Combo/Jíbaro Orchestra ensemble.

Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Antonio Soltero is a guitarist, composer, and arranger. Having taken violin lessons from a young age, at around age 10 Antonio switched to learning the guitar which quickly became his passion. Throughout his High School years he studied with Austin guitarist Glenn Rexach and is currently studying with Paul Krueger, Avery Scanlon, and Joe Manis at the University of Oregon. Antonio has studied and performed a wide variety of styles ranging from Jazz, Indie Rock, Funk, Bluegrass, Salsa, and Mexican folkloric music. Antonio has performed alongside artists such as Randy Porter, Charlie Doggett, Stockton Helbing, and Diane Schuur. He currently teaches private lessons as well as performs throughout the Eugene and Austin area.
