Adam Harris Quartet plays at the Jazz Station in Eugene

Jazz saxophonist Adam Harris is also a composer and teacher. Over the last decade, he has established a reputation as a powerful voice in the Pacific Northwest music scene. He has performed professionally with some of the world's most famous jazz musicians, including Wynton Marsalis, Dave Holland, Randy Brecker and Joshua Redman. Harris holds a Bachelor's of Music from Cornish College of the Arts (Seattle) and earned a Masters of Music from the New England Conservatory in Boston, where he studied with numerous critically acclaimed musicians including Donny McCaslin, Miguel Zenon, Jerry Bergonzi, George Garzone, Billy Hart and Cecil Mcbee. Adam currently resides in Phoenix, Oregon, where he is working on his doctorate degree in saxophone performance through the University of Washington, playing gigs and teaching privately. His first album as a leader, “The Adam Harris Quintet - Live at the Jazz Station”, was released in 2014 and features the internationally celebrated jazz pianist George Colligan.

David Morgenroth, a native Montanan, is a solo and collaborative artist in classical, jazz and popular genres. He holds graduate degrees in both classical piano and jazz studies from the University of North Texas (UNT), including the first doctoral degree in jazz performance awarded by that institution. He has performed across the United States and Canada as well as in Europe, Asia and South America, with such luminaries as Michael Brecker, Buddy DeFranco, Benny Golson, Lionel Hampton, Freddie Hubbard, Gary Peacock, Toots Thielemans, and Joe Williams. David has released four recordings under his own name, collaborating with notables like Chris Potter and Bob Sheppard (saxophones), Drew Gress and Chris Colangelo (bass), and Joe LaBarbera (drums). Bill Donaldson of Jazz News writes, “Morgenroth provides evidence of a style shaped by intelligence, clarity of conception, and even an elegance that shimmers. He possesses both invention and originality of sound in abundance.” 

Veteran bassist Chris Orsinger, one of the Jazz Station’s co-founders, is known for his harmonic voice while creating a foundation of groove with the rhythm section. He performs in numerous jazz, soul, and funk configurations with numerous local musicians. Orsinger and Harris performed together regularly during Adam’s Eugene period.

Adam Carlson is a Bend, OR native now living in Portland, Oregon as a freelance musician. He graduated from the University of Oregon in 2014 with a bachelors degree in Jazz Studies (Cum Laude), and has performed hundreds of times around the Northwest. Adam also spent a year in New York City where he honed his playing style to include jazz, soul, latin, funk, rock, and pop. He has played drums on numerous albums, and has performed with many different Oregon and New York musicians, and University of Oregon faculty members.
