Performances Include:
Catarina New's Hard Bop Band:
Saxophonist and bandleader Catarina New, originally from Sweden, joins us with her group of musicians, to perform the music of jazz greats such as Dexter Gordon, Lee Morgan, Horace Silver and more.
Rebecca Hardiman Quintet:
Jazz Historian, Journalist and LA Jazz Scene contributor, Scott Yanow, said it best: "If Doris Day in the 1950s had been a jazz singer, could scat with the cool assurance of Anita O’Day, and expressed the happiness of Ella, she might have sounded a little like Rebecca Hardiman... she's one of the current greats." Audiences enjoy Rebecca’s swinging renditions of classic jazz standards.
Conversation with Michael Winkle:
Portland-based vocalist Michael Winkle and his Quartet will have a ‘musical conversation’ that festival guests won’t want to miss!
Michael Raynor Quartet:
Splitting his time between Portland and Chicago, Michael has spent over 20-years playing with tenor sax icon and NEA Jazz Master, Von Freeman. Raynor also toured with vocalist Kurt Elling and can be heard on two of his Grammy-nominated recordings, which includes, "Live in Chicago," featuring Jon Hendricks.
