UO Small Jazz Ensembles play at the Jazz Station in Eugene

The University of Oregon concert series is in full swing with the return of the student jazz ensembles. This series aims to support the next generation of jazz musicians participating in UO’s renowned Jazz Studies program. This particular jazz studies program is one of the most exciting programs in the country and cultivates outstanding performing ensembles including this evening’s student combos.

Noah Simpson Quartet plays at the 1905

Modern Master, Noah Simpson has become a vital part of Portland's jazz community and we have had the fortune of welcoming him to our stage for over 8 years now. Energetic, dynamic, and attentive describe Noah Simpson’s modern approach to trumpet playing. Simpson is celebrated as a performer, composer, and forward thinking improviser, who has performed with artist like George Benson, Bernard Purdie, and Ron Artis II.
