Vocalist Nancy Hamilton is often described as "smooth as butter," with a contralto voice marked by distinctive phrasing and captivating warmth. Her style has drawn comparisons to jazz legends like Julie London, Peggy Lee, and Carol Sloane. Drawing inspiration from iconic artists such as Carmen McRae, Tony Bennett, and her personal mentor, Shirley Horn, Hamilton brings a unique depth to her performances. Accompanied by beloved local musicians from Eugene, Hamilton co-founded The Jazz Station in 2005 and has been a professional singer since 2004. She has performed at nightclubs, restaurants, and jazz festivals across Eugene, Newport, Portland, Salem, Corvallis, Northern Florida, and numerous Oregon wineries. Her latest CD, Dreamsville, was recorded in Eugene at Gung Ho Studios with Grammy-nominated pianist Randy Porter.
