Matt Sazima Quartet plays at the 1905

Matthew Sazima is an in-demand pianist, percussionist, vocalist, and educator in the Portland area. As a composer, Matthew has had several of his pieces recognized by the International Society of Jazz Arrangers and Composers as well as by Downbeat magazine.
Late Show - 10PM Lab with Leon Cotter Trio - $20
Saxophonist Leon Cotter has led a musical double life, spending much of the last decade touring the country with soul/blues band The California Honeydrops, while maintaining a reputation as a sought after sideman and bandleader in Portland’s local jazz scene. This January, he’ll bring his quartet to the 1905 for a set of mostly original music, drawing on influences from New Orleans to South Africa to John Coltrane. Joining him will be Greg Goebel on keys, Noah Mortola on drums, and Garrett Baxter on bass.
