greaterkind formed in Portland, OR in 2018 by three friends on a communal mission to spread love and inclusivity through the medium of music and agriculture. Channeling elements of jazz fusion and funk with undertones of R&B, gospel and hip hop, greaterkind sets out to do something that is new. A product of playing together in numerous live situations, greaterkind’s music is rooted in improvisation which brings a different and special energy to each show. Space and creation is key to process. The band includes Charlie Brown (keyboards),Cory Limuaco (drums), and Peter Knudsen (guitar/bass/vocals). While cultivating their own identity and music, gk has played for and backed many arts within their own realm of musicality. Artists include Ghost Note, The Hamiltones, Jarrod Lawson, Christian Scott, Amine, Saeeda Wright, Ashely Jayy, and many more in the greater Portland area

Late Show - Galen Clark Trio - 10:15p - $20

The Galen Clark Organ Trio brings a genre bending approach to the classic organ trio instrumentation, exploring entropic soundscapes, psychedelic funk and groove heavy electronic tinged jazz. Galen Clark is a keyboardist, songwriter, producer, and educator based in Portland, OR. He leads the soul funk collective Outer Orbit and the genre bending group Trio Subtonic and he is 1/3 of the NW collaboration Patterns Fly with D'Vonne Lewis and Andy Coe. He has toured and collaborated with artists such as Anna Tivel, Sarah Clarke, Sleater-Kinney, A Love Electric, Jessica Lurrie and more.
