The Gold Experience Band takes some of the Northwest’s top, world class musicians who perform the best of the best in multiple music genres including Soul, R&B, Funk, Jazz, Pop and much more. Individually this high powered lineup has backed artist from Curtis Salgado, Buddy Guy, BB King, The late PeeWee Ellis, The Drifters, Frank McComb, Pleasure and Neville Brothers to Sting, Aretha Franklin and Anita Baker. D.V.R. (Dreams Vs. Reality) is a Portland-based trio composed of Kirk Kalbfleisch on drums, Matt Sazima on keys/vocals, and Sam Arnold on bass. The band is a collaborative project that showcases the collective songwriting and musicianship from three of PDX's most talented musicians. The three compose all original music with crossover stylings that bring influences from modern jazz, R&B, neo-soul, hip-hop, and drum & bass. D.V.R. has been a mainstay at the 1905 for years!

Every day of the week in the evenings, and often multiple times per day on weekends, The 1905 plays host to the exquisite jazz community that Portland has to offer. In addition to keeping a finger on the pulse of the local scene, The 1905 has hosted internationally recognized musicians such as 5 time Grammy award-winner Antonio Sanchez, and Jazz greats like Ralph Peterson Jr.
