Eptás is a dynamic seven-piece ensemble made up of four horns, piano, bass, and drums based out of Ashland, Oregon. Led by trumpeter/composer/arranger Peter Anastos, this group will perform the music of Duke Ellington, Freddie Hubbard, John Coltrane, The Beatles, Miles Davis, The Allman Bros, Count Basie plus original compositions.

Peter Anastos performed in the Bay Area for many years with his ensemble, Iter. This group played Peter's original compositions written in a post-bop style. Peter relocated to the Rogue Valley in 2018 and formed Eptas. Eptas is a 7-piece ensemble that plays a mix of jazz and popular music and, with four horns leading the charge, brings a dynamic, diverse repertoire to the audience. Our song list includes some traditional jazz standards such as Caravan, Li'l Darlin, Little Sunflower, So What, Down For Double, and Duke's Place but we also have great arrangements of classics like Grazing in the Grass, Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, and a medley of the Allman Bros’ In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed/Jessica. The list is complimented by original compositions in multiple genres.
