Way down! Internationally acclaimed guitarist Chance Hayden digs deep to unearth Baritone Gold, a new 12 track album spotlighting a guitar rarity and a fresh batch of 1960s inspired originals that feel like lost tapes of The Wrecking Crew and early Bar-Kays. While retaining his astute jazz sensibilities, Hayden’s works yield vibrant echoes of surf, soul, blues and classic film scores. It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that Hayden landed on such adventurous turf: he has performed tirelessly since the mid 00s with jazz masters, soul icons, blues legends and touring bands, baring a deeply authentic musical connection in this inventive spin on the organ trio format. Hayden's previous albums Get Somethin’ (2018) and Grab & Go (2020) were most recently followed by the stand-alone single Shag Bag (2022) which featured keyboardist Ronnie Foster (of 70s era George Benson fame) and earned praise as a classic groove piece, sounding like an early to mid 70s CTI or Blue Note recording. "As gifted as Hayden proves to be as a guitarist, his work as a producer is equally, maybe even more remarkable." -Glide Magazine
