Welcome home trumpeter Caylie Davis for a concert of original music alongside fellow Manhattan School of Music student musicians featuring pianist Keith Brown.

Caylie Davis is a trumpet player, composer, and educator from Eugene, Oregon, based in New York, NY. She currently attends Manhattan School of Music at which she has studied under the tutelage of renowned trumpet players Ingrid Jensen, Nadje Noordhuis, and Jon Faddis.

Her music is quickly turning an audience through her work as a sidewoman and through her country/Ornette Coleman/punk-rock-inspired band Things of This Nature, which has performed at the likes of Nublu, Downtown Music Gallery, and other NYC clubs. A member of the popular-with-the-youth Selendis Sebastian Alexander Johnson Big Band, Caylie has performed alongside the likes of Wendy Eisenberg, Ingrid Jensen, and more.

Her musical style is largely influenced by pioneers with an affinity for maximalism, including Booker Little, Maurice Ravel, and SOPHIE. She also draws great inspiration from the melodiousness of the human voice.
