Billie Eidson is a Portland-based jazz vocalist and bandleader known for intimate, precise performances rooted in the Great American Songbook. Leading a tight quartet, she creates a listening-room experience where phrasing, space, and musical interplay take precedence — equally suited to clubs, curated venues, and private events throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

A trial attorney and 25-year legal practitioner whose practice spans civil rights and Department of Justice defense, Eidson brings rare depth of listening and emotional clarity to the music. Her dual life in the courtroom and on the bandstand informs everything about how she hears, interprets, and communicates a song.

Her current project, Moon and Sand — Songs of Love and Illusion, is released as a living collection, unfolding in real time.

"It's hard to find a fresh take on American Songbook standards, but Ms. Eidson has devised an approach that reveals new pleasures in those old songs."
— Lynn Darroch, KMHD 89.1 FM

"Billie is a delight to listen to. Her voice blends the sultriness of Sarah Vaughan with the sweet lyricism of Rosemary Clooney."
— Phil Baker, bassist & composer, Pink Martini
